The Inner Circle: Masters, Disciples, and Household Roles in Kimikagesō

Kimikagesō provides a rare, intimate perspective on the leading figures of Shotokai Karate-do. It portrays them not as distant legends, but as human beings who shared the tatami, visited hospital bedsides during critical illnesses, and gathered around the family table in Magome.

She hosted hundreds of university disciples in their Magome home, washed uniforms, boiled tea on charcoal braziers, and waited on dark train platforms after midnight practices.
